Somerville was selected as the main contractor to deliver the specialist joinery and fit-out of Ibis Belfast. Services included the fit-out of the bar and restaurant with an adjoining guest welcome area, bespoke banquette seating, coffee stations, and wall panelling. The creation of an open-plan space provided a naturally lit and comfortable environment for guests to relax.

Bedroom headboards and wardrobes incorporating powder-coated metal and natural Halifax oak were designed to match the urban city theme. In addition to the bedrooms, bathroom ensuites were provided with vanity units, screens, and bath panels, all of which are accessible.

Following the success of Ibis Belfast, the team transformed Ibis Coleraine Riverside into a modern and stylish hotel on the north coast. Using a similar theme to Belfast, we manufactured the natural oak reception desk area to provide a slick aesthetic in front of the oak wall panelling. Exposed concrete walls and black feature light add to the minimalist yet welcoming appearance.

The hotel's bedrooms were completely redesigned, incorporating the interior design and materials found in Ibis Belfast, such as powder-coated metal and natural oak. Additional refurbishments to bathrooms and ensuites, including vanity units, screens, and bath panels, were upgraded, ensuring the Ibis Coleraine is a popular destination in the Causeway Coast region.

The team at Somerville were selected to refurbish 'Bodyscape and Spa' at Crown Plaza, situated in Belfast. The contract saw the development of a new reception entrance along with new spa treatment rooms, perfect for relaxation and downtime. Walnut veneer was used to create wall panelling and entrance screens for a rich welcome area for guests. In addition, we manufactured glass-fronted and walnut retail display units and free-standing planters crafted in fluted walnut veneer. The outcome delivered the hotel guests a luxurious spa of calm and serenity.
